Workpackage 1 – to examine the results of the National Nutrition Survey menuCH and conduct further targeted analyses as needed for the development of the new dietary assessment tool, a semi-quantitative FFQ for assessing dietary intake of adults in Switzerland; also to define the criteria for the developmental work conducted in WP2.
Workpackage 2 – to develop the web-based and paper-form of the FFQ based on the results of WP1, with food item and questions visualized by menuCH photos (menuCH photo book) [35] and using the framework of the ZHAW FFQ , in two national languages, To implement the tool into an open-source on-line platform, allowing linking to the Swiss Food Composition Database, and webhosting.
Workpackage 3 – to validate the newly developed FFQ against the ZHAW FFQ [18], to assess the reproducibility of the new FFQ, and also investigate important aspects of respondant usability (proofing in real-life context, compliance). Results will be used to adapt the final FFQ for optimal capture of habitual dietary intake of adults in Switzerland, in paper and web-based form.
