Kurzbeschreibung
(Deutsch)

Schlussbericht
(Englisch)
This research project is directly related to the development of the ZE-LowEx building system 2Sol, developed at ETH Zurich. Essential components of the system are hybrid PVT collectors. Their summer heat is used for regeneration of deep geothermal probes. This research report documents the initial implementation of a concept for the integration of PVT collectors in roof constructions. In addition to the energetic performance of the active layers, this constructive principle addresses a high flexibility in design and low total life cycle costs. On the basis of two prototypes at a 1:1 scale, the general feasibility has been demonstrated. One of the prototypes was installed to test the hygrothermal behaviour under real conditions. The other was used to determine the thermal and electrical efficiency under standard test conditions STC at SPF in Rapperswil. The compact construction doesn’t raise the risk of moisture damages. Compared to conventional PVT collectors the thermal efficiency ratio is decreased by 14 - 25% whereas the electrical power corresponds to the nominal power of the used PV modules. The rise of the overall efficiency is an object of a subsequent project. Nevertheless, due to a higher exploitation of the roof surface and lower total costs, the construction is already today competitive.

Schlussbericht
