Kurzbeschreibung (Englisch)

This project, a continuation of previous research activities, aims at: i) consolidating the successes of the already developed products by increasing their reliability and robustness and by reducing their cost. ii) increasing the overall system performance. This latter objective will be pursued through further exploration of high temperature solar receiver designs, investigation of new heat-transfer fluids (HTF), study of new concepts for the receiver and plant piping thermal insulation and by deepening the knowledge about modeling and performance control of thermal energy storage systems. The study of the systems integration and year-round CSP plant performance as well as dynamical behavior will also be performed.
