Short description
Short description
(English)
Co-electrolysis of water and carbon dioxide to syngas or even methane is an elegant, direct way to convert surplus electricity to fuels and/or their universally usable precursors. In this project membrane co-electrolysis cell technology is investigated for this process. Using small cells, power density, efficiency and product gas-mix are analyzed as function of the cathode catalyst and operating conditions evaluated.
Final report
(English)

The RENERG2 project was started officially in July 2013 and finished in September 2017. This final scientific report summarizes the results over the whole project duration. The project was divided into the 5 work packages Electrolysis (WP1), Methanation (WP2), Combustion fundamentals (WP3), HCNG field test (WP4) and Markets and Grids (WP5).
