The present project continues the research and developments activities performed in to the SOLAIR project. Starting from the results obtained from that project, the idea is to explore and consolidate the technology for the air receiver. The receiver is a critical component for a solar collector and from its efficiency depends the efficiency of the entire solar power plant. The project will develop and test specific solutions for this component exploiting the favorable characteristics of the ALE Solar Concentrator. Computer simulations and experimental activities will work synergistically to achieve the targeted results.
