Abstract
(English)
Main Outcome of the project (mention only the major points) o Coupling of a 1D inverse segregation model with microporosity formation calculations. o Coupling of a one-dimensional and a two-dimensional microsegregation model with ThermoCalc calculations of a ternary phase diagram including diffusion in both liquid and solid phases. o In collaboration with Ecole des Mines de Nancy (FR1) and Sintef (NO5), development and comparison of various approaches for the microsegregation of an open system containing a ternary alloy, including remelting of the primary phase and of the eutectics. o In collaboration with Technical University of Darmstadt (D8), simulation of the influence of the non-equilibrium state at the solid/liquid interface with the aim of a better understanding of the diffusion controlled remelting process. o A bench-mark test between a FVM code of Nancy (FR1) and a FEM code (3-MOS, version 2.4.1) has been carried out.
