Abstract
(English)
The artemedia contribution to the VISIONS project has been stopped on February 15th 2001. This action has been done in accordance with the Project Co-ordinator, the European Project Officer and the OFES. The current final report follows the intermediate report sent to the OFES on January 8th 2001. Consequently, we present the work and tasks performed from January 1st 2001 to February 15th 20001.
The general contribution of artemedia sa in the VISIONS project is to provide active 3d models of objects to be used by the digital storytelling software application. In accordance with the planned timetable, a part of our activity was devoted to define the general features of the 3d models expected by the end users who are partners of this project. Then, our activity was split in two different steps: generating a collection of 3d models of objects (i.e. non-active) and enhancing these objects with the features required by VISIONS.
The generation of the 3d models of objects has been done by modelling the 3d models or by using the 3d models provided by several 3d libraries. The enhancement of these objects consists in adding behaviour and interactivity through software development. The last step is to generate a 3d active object compatible with the VISIONS file format; artemedia has developed a software tool to perform the interoperability of these 3d active objects.
