The committee of the GOOD DIE Working Group has organized over the previous 12 months
3 meetings, 2 workshops (CAST 2000 in Aix-en- Provence and standards/user experience at Philips, Zurich); 2 newsletters; 3 standards meetings; interim reports on roadmaps, handling, training and CAD/MEMS and a test questionnaire. The Network now has over 1000 members world wide. The web page has been updated. Various other conferences and workshops have been attended and reported on. These include IMAPS Flip Chip, Georgia March 2000,HDP Denver April 2000, Napa KGD workshop September 2000 and ESREF 2000, Dresden.
A great deal work has been carried out on a standard for the procurement of bare die for CENELEC and the majority of the parts have been published. This has also included the co-operation of the DPC from the USA.
Co-operation has been held with MCC and the DPC including GOOD-DIE members being on the KGD Napa workshop committee.
The main workshop CAST 2000, was successfully held in Aix-en-Provence with over 70 attendees from Europe, the USA and the far EAST. A second workshop was held at Philips, r on standards and user experience with over 45 attendees.
