Abstract
(English)
During the reporting period the main commissioning program on pure fuel oil, mixed fuel and pure syngas operation has been completed.
As of December 13th 2000 the gasturbine has accumulated 4669 operating hours and 113 starts. On more than 500 operation hours of this operating experience the unit has been run on pure syngas operation.
The gasification plant consists of two separate gasifiers each with 50% of the designed total gasification capacity. The first ignition of a gasifier took place in February 2000.
The gasturbine has been set up to operation on syngas the first time on July 1st 2000. Gasturbine baseload with pure syngas operation running on both gasifiers has been reached on August 8th 2000.
The major items of syngas commissioning program were as follows
· Fuel change over optimisation
· Mapping of the mixed fuel operation window including variation of the water to fuel oil ratio
· Mapping of the pure syngas operation window
· GT operational capability for variation of the heating value, LHV, of the syngas (design case: diluted with nitrogen, test case: undiluted)
· Transient load tests including island mode operation
The GT with its specialised combustion concept and burner has proven excellent operational capability regarding to the results of the commissioning program items. All target operation modes have been tested successfully and the mapping could allow for even greater ranges of mixed fuel and non-design LHV operation. NOx emissions well below 25vppm above fuel switch over to baseload at ISO conditions and design syngas LHV have been achieved.
The hot gas path has been inspected four times during the main commissioning period including an official type A- and B-Inspection. All components were found in good condition with minor degradation or defects only comparable to a standard GT13E2 with mainly fuel oil operation. After the completion of the main program the unit was shut down on December 13th 2000 for preparations of the official performance testing.
