Abstract
(English)
Since the EU Framework architecture projects and thanks to CEN/TC 251 (= Centre Européen et Normalisation, Technical Committee 251 in charge of healthcare informatics standards) generic architectures for 'electronic healthcare records' have been carried forward into the 4th Framework program jointly with other projects like SYNAPSES and
SYNEX.
The mission given to each partner in the project was related to the efforts provided for dissemination of the results regarding EHCR standardisation work of the CEN- TC 251 user groups in all countries of EU and associated countries, providing expert advice and training to user groups themselves.
1. Dissemination of results of the 3rd Framework EHCRA:
The Geneva group of DIOGENE has been partner in Galen-in-use, developing a product called 'Lucid' of semi-automatic encoding of medical diagnosis. 'Lucid' has disseminated in most of the Swiss French speaking hospitals. Being partners in Seismed, we contribute to disseminate through the hospitals and the Swiss Society for Medical Informatics (SSM I) its major outcomes. Closely related to EDITH (as well as RICHE), we have been aware of the kind of standard by default that is DHE/HANSA architecture/CEN-ptO13 standard of architecture and of its offspring. Being partners in Telenurse, this architecture has disseminated in the major hospitals of the Geneva area. Feedback to/from has been given to EFMI through its Council. The Geneva group was a partner in Synapses and SynEX and is cIosely associated to the testing of EHCRA on our local Synapses instanciation, which was successfully demonstrated during Telecom'99 World Fair (Synex/State of Geneva booth).
2. Dissemination through local organisations:
The Geneva faculty of medicine, as a basis for clinical education and training at the pre- as well as post graduate level; HON (Health On the Net foundation); The Geneva Ministry of Health; The Geneva Nursing Home Care organisation
3. Dissemination through national projects:
With the chairmanship of national medical informatics projects, the medical informatics division will be in a particularly good position for promoting the results of the project for structuring the exchange of medical data.
