Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
The interaction between rotating and non rotating components of a turbomachine is an important aspect as far as the increase of efficiency, availability and the noise reduction are concerned. Furthermore, aiming costs reduction, the tendency is to define more compact designs, where distances between rotating and non rotating components are minimum and therefore, the so called rotor-stator interaction becomes more and more important to the design of such turbomachines.
The HPNURSA project has been dedicated towards the better understanding of rotating and non rotating unsteady behaviour of turbomachinery components using numerical flow simulation within a parallel-computing hardware environment. Within this project, the main industrial application is directly related to the increase of turbomachinery performance.
Within the project HPNURSA, three major European companies involved in flow simulation software development have extended their flow simulation capability to unsteady rotor / stator interactions, in a parallel computing environment, including post-processing capabilities. Validated on extensive industrial cases, all three software developers shall therefore increase their competitiveness and achieve a strategic step forward in the numerical flow simulation domain. On the other hand, the project turbomachinery manufacturers have increased their know-how and integrated these new flow simulation and post-processing capabilities in their own turbomachinery system to the direct benefit of performance and productivity increases.
