Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
The main objectives of the DIANA project are to develop, integrate, validate and demonstrate resource reservation and traffic control functionalities which seamlessly interoperate between ATM and IP networks to achieve QoS. At the boundary between the ATM and IP domains, DIANA aims to translate between RSVP and ATM signalling, thereby supporting the QoS requirements of suitably adapted IP applications over an ATM network. DIANA also addresses intra-domain resource management. For investigation and development in this area, the partners of this project have access (during the whole project) to the large and well connected ATM platform of the AC094-EXPERT project testbed site which will be upgraded with the necessary equipment and applications taking into account QoS support.

ASPA / Ascom Management AG has the role of the project co-ordination. It is the leader of WP0 (see project structure on the next page).

Objectives
ASPA / Ascom Management AG primarily ensures that the DIANA project achieves its goals in time and within the allocated budget. ASPA / Ascom Management AG handles the collation of Monthly Progress Reports, Cost Claims, Advance Payments and CAPPLUS data, maintains contacts with the 3 technical WPs and the appointed project officer as well as other research projects, within - and outside - the ACTS Programme.
ASPA / Swisscom AG has resources for platform-support activities, that are intended to ensure that the equipment in Basel remains operational and that the appropriate hardware and software for the scheduled demonstrations, application trials and experiments to be performed are made available.

Technical Approach
· To chair the quarterly project progress meetings which review the output of the project in terms of quality and compliance with the schedule, and solve any issues
· To operate planning and payment procedures to enable the project to be managed in a professional manner.
· To promote the project through international co-operations, conference presentations and participation in major events
· To review all Deliverables from the project
ASPA/Ascom Management AG was responsible for co-ordinating ACTS demonstrations on the EU stand at Telecom'99 in Geneva, and for editing 2 articles on future IP networks, based on the work of 8 ACTS projects.
