Abstract
(English)
Fourteen laboratories from 10 Europeans countries participate in the certification of the content of 13 PCBs congeners in mussels.
Our laboratory Gestion des ecosystèmes - Ecotoxicologie, uses in the certification exercise saponification with methanolic potassium hydroxide followed by hexane extraction to isolate PCBs from the mussel matrix. Extracts were cleaned over silica-gel adsorption column.
Moreover, identification and quantification of PCBs congeners were obtained by multidimensional electron capture detection gas-chromatography, coupling 2 columns (DB-5 and DB-17). Ours results were in good agreement with results from others labs obtained with other detection techniques. Ours findings permit to clarify some results where c
