Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
In today's economy national and international partnerships are becoming more and more important. These partnerships range from very loose trading relationships on common project to very strong ones as in virtual enterprises, where several companies join together to combine their competences in order to finalize successfully a project. Hence, finding suitable and reliable partners becomes a crucial matter whenever the right match of competences is required that goes beyond the ones possesed by one sole organisation. The usual approach to choose partners from a pool of already 'known by us' companies leaves aside a large part of unknown, but perhaps better suited companies. This situation is especially harmful for SMEs who do not have enough visibility to be included in the list of possible candidates, thereby excluding them from new openings and possibilities.

In order to try and contribute to solving this issue, UNIL role in the VENICE project was to support these new processes by providing a toolkit to help organisations:

1. specify their own competences and enter them easily in a Competence Database,

2. search in the Competence Database for potential partner organisations with a specific set of competences
