Abstract
(Englisch)
SynEx is an industry-led Standard of middleware products for shared and distributed health records on heterogeneous systems. Based on this standard, SynEx has produced a portfolio of products for commercial use that are generic, modular, and re-usable : such as secured email, mediator, pilot, and authorisation service, etc.
The nursing record NUREC, developed an part of the Telenurse ID project, has been adapted to the middleware architecture resulting from SynEx. The nursing record manager of NUREC has been transformed into both a SynEx compliant client application emitting middleware request to a data server, and a SynEx compliant server or data feeder.
This transformation of NUREC has allowed the integration of NUREC with the nursing ward manager and medical order entry modules of Florence developed by an other partner within the Synex project, thus resulting into an integrated package NUREC-Florence that has been installed during the first semester 2001 in a nursing home in Danemark.
This integration can been seen as an actual demonstration of the benefit reusable components when adapted to the Synex architecture.
