Abstract
(English)
The project had two main objectives: on one part, adressing key issues in multimedia developments at national level, with special attention given to learning processes, the compilation of innovative initiatives being carried out in the same format as to permit cross-comparison among the eight partners countries, and on the other part, exploring learning processes linked with multimedia integration in various set ups such as cultural industry, home, organisations, Public administration and educational environments, information superhighway's implementation.
The first year was dedicated to internal learning and writing down of national reports (as it was done for Switzerland, of course), with comparison of social experiments and key players' strategies. Meanwhile, each partner, according to its special assignment, has built its specific methodology and test cases for the second part of the project. For the Swiss partner, the assignment was to carry out the cross.cutting study of multimedia learning processes taking place within organisations, throughout the numerous cases brought up by the whole network out of the integrated studies, from their various angles and approaches.
The second year has allowed each one to progress to the point of reporting for the intergrated studies, with all cases and syntheses, ready for the final reporting stages, in which precisely the overarching results and the cross-cutting reports on the 'Home' and in the 'Organistion', in terms of multimedia learning, will have to be finalised.
The final period has been a synthesis and cross-cutting oriented-one, yielding clues on organisational trends in the uptake of multimedia systems, the role of intermediate actors, and the reinnovation of tools, applications, appropriation procedures and organisational as well as inter-organisational knowledge acquisition patterns (social learning).
