Abstract
(English)
This large European network provides an excellent forum for the exchange of ideas in the fast evolving field of quantum information theory and its physics aspects. In Geneva, we concentrated on the relation between the security of quantum cryptography protocols and Bell's inequalities. This relation provides a nice connection between a quite concrete question (how good must a quantum channel be to guaranty quantum security?) and an abstract question (how good must a quantum channel be to allow the demonstration of quantum nonlocality?). Several papers on this issue have been published within various international collaborations. In particular, in Phys. Rev. Lett. 87, 117901, 2001, we proved that for an entire class of quantum key distribution between n partner protocols, the qualities of the quantum channel required for security and for quantum nonlocality are exactly identical.
