Abstract
(English)
HAENNI INSTRUMENTS AG (HJ) designs, produces and sells instruments for industrial pressure measurements. According to the general trend in the instrumentation market, future pressure transmitters must be cheaper, more accurate and should have the ability for remote sensing and controlling. This threefold goal cannot be achieved with the existing solutions. The proposed MCM including a mixed mode CMOS ASIC and a bipolar IC combines all these requirements in a new and innovative way. At the same time, the production plant will profit from a fully automatic calibration facility. The sales and marketing department will benefit from pressure transmitters with enhanced features that can be offered to both existing and new markets. From a technical point of view, the design allows for an automatic calibration, reduces temperature dependency and includes traceability parameters, a important feature regarding ISO9000 specifications.
