The objective of the Food Solutions projects is to generate a multidisciplinary, challenge-based learning program for predominantly Masters students. Food Solutions projects will serve as a catalyst for the creation of innovative, more sustainable and feasible solutions to real-life challenges. Projects might focus on the valorisation of side streams, special dietary needs, health, the digitalization of food value chains and packaging, or any other topic along the EIT Food Mission. Each year, 145 students, with the support of academic supervisors as well as partners from industry and research, will tackle these challenges. Multidisciplinary consorva consisting of 3-4 universities and 4-8 partner organizations will focus on one of the mentioned projects. The students will not only be mentored by the different organisations but also educated in innovation & entrepreneurship by a professional consortium. Projects are managed centrally.
