Abstract (Englisch)	Commercial products containing engineered particles have a wide range of applications in European healthcare, personal care, semiconductor and energy industries . However, currently there are no validated and standardised measurement methods for number based quantification of industry relevant engineered particles. Moreover, there are no validated and standardised methods for particle refractive index (RI) and density determination of such particles, which are input parameters required by the majority of ensemble methods typically used by industry. This project will provide validated methods, modelling algorithms (including machine learning) and documentary standards, enabling regulatory compliance (e. g. Regulation (EU) 2017/745, Regulation (EU) 2017/746, Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, Directive 2020/21840) and commercialisation of particle based products.
