Abstract
(English)
Area Metropolitana of Barcelona is drafting a new master plan that needs to consider a wide spectrum of requirements from 36 cities with several stakeholders involved with heterogeneous and fragmented data and models. Current modelling solutions rely on laborious engineering processes that lack transparency, are timeconsuming, costly, and quickly become outdated. Transcality develops digital twins, building upon a proof-of-concept from multiple cities including Zurich and Munich. The digital twin serves as a single source of truth which streamlines various data and models used by different city departments. Specifically, our solution enables seamless simulation of the impact of infrastructure changes, enabling urban planners to improve sustainability, equity and accessibility on city-scale networks. Its easy-to-use interface allows the evaluation of mobility scenarios, enabling users, even those without simulation expertise, to easily design, evaluate and share scenarios.
