The ex-post impact evaluation finds that the SCORE programme has been effective in promoting the adoption and long-term sustainability of improved management practices among SMEs across all assessed countries. In Indonesia and Peru, around 65% of surveyed companies adopted SCORE-related practices, with 92% sustaining these changes over time, demonstrating strong behavioural and organizational effects. The evaluation shows significant positive impacts at SME level, including improvements in productivity, operational efficiency, working conditions, and employee engagement, with over 94% of firms in Indonesia and Peru attributing these changes directly to SCORE Training. Evidence indicates that benefits tend to increase over time as companies scale and embed the practices, supported by leadership commitment and employee involvement. At institutional level, sustainability outcomes varied considerably across countries, with strong public-private partnerships enabling continued delivery in some contexts. Where clear lead institutions, coordination mechanisms, and funding were lacking, the long-term institutionalization of SCORE Training remained limited.
