Abstract

Rotation encoder based on magnetic integrated circuits for applications in automotive applications. This technology will be used to introduce smart actuator applications in the automotive market. A demonstrator setup using magnetic sensors in integrated circuits has been developed. AMS has provided an integrated circuit including an electronics interface to condition the sensor device information. Algorithms have been developed to control the actuator behaviour. ETH Zürich has developed simulation algorithms for mechanical tolerance analysis in order to optimise the sensor arrangement.
