This project proposes a novel gaseous cryogenic post-treatment tailored to additive manufactured aluminum alloys. By tuning time and temperature, it aims to reduce residual stresses and, ideally, promote precipitation of secondary strengthening phases, delivering stronger and more reliable parts.
