Abstract
(Englisch)
The EnerBuild RTD Thematic Network aims at creating enhanced networking and co-operation among EC-supported energy RTD projects addressing the built environment to advance the objectives in a coherent manner focussed on market, societal and environmental needs.Formally, the project consists of a consortium comprising the Co-ordinator and six Principal Contractors (the Thematic Group Co-ordinators), together with 69 'Members'. The latter include the five Network Advisors and six Steering Committee members representing some of the European industrial, professional and research federations, and the 55 RTD Project Co-ordinators who are at the heart of the Network as co-ordinators of Fourth Framework Programme, JOULE and CRAFT projects.
The six thematic groups cover all aspects of energy supply and use in buildings and are grouped as follows: Solar technologies (thermal), Lighting, Mechanical heating and cooling, PV in buildings, Building components and Building and urban design. Enecolo AG is responsible for the thematic group 4: 'PV in Buildings'.
Each Thematic Group Co-ordinator has made an initial input to a preliminary RTD Strategy / State of Research / Technology Report which was discussed at the 14 May 2001 Steering Committee meeting in Brussels. This draft report continues to develop and will be further informed by input resulting from a series of Focus Workshops held by the Thematic Group coordinators in 2002. The first of six Focus workshops was held on 15 February 2002 in Cambridge (Thematic Group 6).Enecolo is preparing a strategy report for the future RTD-PV - project within the FP6.It became clear during the Enerbuild collaboration, that Photovoltaics integrated in the Buildings can contribute all or a significant part of the energy consumption of the building, if all other measures are considered as well which contribute to a reduced energy consumption of the building. The network Enerbuild is supporting this process and aims for its application all over Europe. Since March 2002 this process is even expanded with the integration of the following New Associated States (NAS): Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Sofia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovak Republic and Latvia.
Another significant impact of the Enerbuild collaboration is the contribution for the implementation of the EPD (Energy Performance Directive) of the EU during the upcoming years.
In the reporting period there was a Thematic Group 4 Meeting in Freiburg (DE), a Steering Committee meeting in Brussels and a project workshop with more than 60 participants in Malmö.
