Next-Roll hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die technologische Machbarkeit und wirtschaftliche Rentabilität der physikalischen Gasphasenabscheidung (PVD) – einem bewährten, nachhaltigen und kostengünstigen industriellen Verfahren – für die Abscheidung neuartiger Anodenmaterialien für Lithium-Metall-Festkörper-Batterietechnologien der nächsten Generation nachzuweisen und damit die Position Europas im Bereich der fortschrittlichen Fertigung zu stärken.

Next-Roll aims to demonstrate the technological feasibility and economic viability of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) — a proven, sustainable, and cost-effective industrial process — for the deposition of novel anode materials for next-generation Li-metal solid state battery technologies, thereby strengthening Europe’s position in advanced manufacturing.
