Das Projekt analysiert die verkehrliche Wirkung von Verkehrsdrehscheiben (VDS) als intermodale Umsteigepunkte und Aktivitätsstandorte (Einkauf, Verpflegung).
Das Projekt umfasst acht Arbeitspakete (AP). AP1 fasst akademische und fachliche Literatur zu Umsteigekostenwahrnehmung und VDS-Best-Practice zusammen. AP2 analysiert Umsteige- und Aktivitätsverhalten an VDS anhand des Mikrozensus Mobilität und Verkehr 2021. AP3 nutzt P+R-Buchungsdaten und Nutzerumfragen zur deskriptiven P+R-Standortwahl-Analyse. AP4 führt stated choice Entscheidungsexperiment durch, das auf den Wohnort und Reiseverhalten der Befragten zugeschnitten ist. Ein Marktforschungsunternehmen stellt die Webpanel-Stichprobe bereit. Die Befragung umfasst grafisch veranschaulichte Experimente zur Routen- und Verkehrsmittelwahl und fokussiert dabei auf Reise- und VDS-Eigenschaften. AP5 implementiert die aus AP4 abgeleiteten Verhaltensparameter in einem Verkehrsmodell, um VDS-Verbesserungsstrategien in einer Korridorstudie zu testen. Die Ergebnisse von AP5 werden in AP6 in zwei Stakeholder-Workshops (ÖV, Behörden, Planer) diskutiert, um praktische Umsetzungsleitlinien abzuleiten. Die Projektsynthese liefert konkrete Handlungsempfehlungen für ein nachhaltigeres Schweizer Verkehrssystem durch VDS-, ÖV-, P+R- und Velo-Massnahmen.

Description succincte (Anglais)

The project analyses the impact of mobility hubs (MH) as intermodal transfer points and activity locations (shopping, eating, etc) on travel behaviour. It is composed of eight working packages (WP). WP1 compiles the academic and practice literature on transfer penalty and mobility hubs. WP2 analyses transfer and activity behaviour at MHs based on the 2021 national travel diary survey. WP3 uses P+R booking data and a tailored P+R user survey to descriptively analyse P+R location choice. WP4 conducts a stated preference survey whose choice experiment are tailored to the respondents residence location and existing travel patterns. The survey sample is provided by a suitable webpanel through market research firm. The choice experiments include graphic elements to illustrate the different options with regards to MH and trip characteristics and include route and model choice decisions. The behavioral parameters derived from WP4 are implemented into a travel demand model in WP5 to test the impact of different MH improvement strategies with regards to travel demand in a specific corridor. The findings of WP5 inform two workshops with stakeholders from public transport operators, government agencies and planners whoch are conducted in WP6 to derive guidance how can effecively implemented in practice. The project syntheis (WP7)  derives concrete recommendations for action for a more sustainable Swiss transport system through VDS, public transport, P+R and cycling measures.

Die Forschungsziele sind:
- P+R-Nutzung: Quantifizierung von Einflussfaktoren wie VDS-Standort, Parkkosten, ÖV-Tarife und Mobilitätsmanagement am Zielort.
- Umsteigequalität: Quantifizierung von Einflussfaktoren von Umsteigezeiten und ÖV-Angebotsqualität für Verkehrsmittel- und Routenwahl, Wahrnehmung von Umsteige- und Wartezeiten im Verhältnis zu Fahr- und Zugangszeiten, beeinflusst durch VDS-Ausstattung.
- B+R-Potenzial: Quantifizierung des Verlagerungspotenzials durch sichere Veloabstellplätze und Integration geteilter Zweiräder in ÖV-Tarifsysteme.
- Modellierung und Massnahmen: Integration von VDS-Eigenschaften in Verkehrsmodellen zur massnahmensensitiven Ermittlung der verkehrlichen Wirkung und Ableitung praxisnaher Massnahmen.

Objectifs du projet (Anglais)

The research objectives are:
- P+R Use: Quantifying influencing factors such as mobility hub location, parking costs, public transport fares, and mobility management at the destination.
- Transfer Quality: Quantifying the influencing factors of transfer times and public transport service quality for mode and route choice, and the perception of transfer and waiting times in relation to travel and access/egress times, influenced by MH facilities.
- B+R Potential: Quantifying the mode shift potential through secure bicycle parking and the integration of shared two-wheelers into public transport fare systems.
- Modeling and Measures: Integrating VDS characteristics into traffic models for measure-sensitive determination of transportation impact and deriving practical measures.
