The MPMP evaluation (2020–2023) found strengths in coherence and sustainability but highlighted challenges in relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency. Rigid approaches and high costs hindered impact, despite successes in North Macedonia. Key recommendations include extending Phase I, increasing flexibility, improving sustainability, and strengthening governance for better alignment with country needs.The evaluation examined measures including macroeconomic policy support, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, governance improvements, and adaptation of project approaches to country-specific needs.
