Short description (English)

The evaluation highlighted the need for stronger partnerships within the UN system and better collaboration among UNIDO programs to enhance the program’s impact. It also recommended improving communication, addressing socio-economic aspects, and providing more targeted support for SMEs to facilitate their adoption of eco-industrial practices.The GEIPP promoted eco-industrial parks in seven countries, focusing on resource efficiency, sustainable industrial development, and SME inclusion. It combined policy integration, enterprise support, and global knowledge sharing to mainstream eco-industrial practices and enhance collaboration. The Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP) and its implementation across seven pilot countries to promote eco-industrial practices.
