In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the elderly belong to the poorest and socially excluded population. The project supports the community engagement of the elderly and the introduction of sustainable home based care for the elderly. Home based care is provided by auxiliary nurses, trained and employed by the Red Cross of BiH in cooperation with local governments. The project is a contribution to the initiative of the Swiss Red Cross.
