The cooling energy requirements of buildings are constantly increasing and are becoming more important in the overall energy balance. In order to optimize buildings for cooling, comprehensive dynamic analysis with thermal building simulations is necessary. However, the use of simulations as a planning tool is not yet widespread, partly because such verification methods are hardly accepted. This is due to insufficient simulation-specific expertise. In this project, tools are being developed that define the conditions for high-quality simulation. These are intended to support both the regulatory authority in evaluating verifications and planners in quality assurance. This will remove obstacles and enable thermal simulations to be used as a holistic planning tool.
