Short description
(English)

As part of the METAS research and development program in the field of Health and Life Science, this project aims to use new analytical and digitial methods to enable rapid action in the event of future pandemics. This project is a part of the CCQM study P232 Fire Drill 1, which aims to address the lack of standards in diagnostic tests during pandemic outbreaks, and focuses on the development of rapid and accurate reference methods for measuring RNA copy number concentration.

The main methods applied in this study are real-time digital PCR analyses. The study plan includes different phases, from sample preparation, RT-dPCR assay and method development, assay opimization and validation, to result submission.

Project aims
(English)

The successful completion of the study will demonstrate the participants' capabilities in the development of reference methods for RNA copy number measurement.
