Description succincte
(Anglais)

Inverters, large electronic power converters, and active filters, are increasingly being used in the deployment of renewable energy sources. This development has led to a proliferation of network voltage and current disturbances, observable in the form of harmonics from the switching frequency up to hundreds of kHz on medium-voltage networks.

The aim of this project is to develop traceable measurement methods and procedures for the characterization of the instrument transformers used to measure disturbances of up to 150 kHz in medium-voltage networks. The project partners are working closely with IEC Technical Committee 38 to ensure that the project results are incorporated into technical standards. The project results will benefit the metrology community, medium-voltage system manufacturers and academic research.

Objectifs du projet
(Anglais)

The aim of this project is to develop traceable measurement methods and procedures for the characterization of the instrument transformers used to measure disturbances of up to 150 kHz in medium-voltage networks. Different transformers and products from manufacturers will undergo a standard 50 Hz calibration in accordance with the current standard, and a frequency test according to the capabilities of the equipment available.
