Kurzbeschreibung (Englisch)

As part of work packages 1-2, a measurement campaign was organized at TROPOS in Leipzig, Germany. METAS was represented at this event by participating in the preparatory phase and supporting our German colleagues in setting up the measurement infrastructure. METAS has provided TROPOS with an oxidation flow reactor and is currently conducting offline chemical analyses of soot particles. The campaign was successful and we expect a joint publication at the end of 2024. 

Projektziele (Englisch)

The StanBC project consists of 4 work packages:

1) Validation of reference methods for the light absorption of aerosols
2) Measurement of the absorption coefficient of aerosols
3) Calibration of light absorption photometers
4) Condensation particle counter standardization.
