Using gas turbines burning green hydrogen is one of the promising strategies for compensating the intermittency of renewable sources in future sustainable energy networks. It is thus crucial to develop combustors which can safely and cleanly burn hydrogen. The ARHP project aims at investigating the combustion physics of hydrogen fired sequential combustors at high pressure and at developing a new plasma technology for controlling the flames.
