Short description

Evaluierung der potentiellen Invasivität von Pilzen und deren möglichen Folgen anhand einer Fallstudie zu Morcheln.
Short description
(English)
Morchella spp. are highly prized fungi whose edible fruiting body can be harvested in the wild ,mostly between March and June in the northern hemisphere (Pilz et al. 2007). Morels show high levels of endemism and provincialism (O’Donnell et al. 2011), however at least 33% of the species are actually found in more than one continent. Such as transcontinentalism could be explained by different hypotheses such as anthropogenic introduction, long distance spore dispersal, and a common Pleistocene origin (Loizides 2017). The first hypothesis was confirmed for some species (Richard et al. 2015; Baroni et al. 2018), but further studies are necessary to evaluate the two other hypotheses.
