Two layer NovElyTi (Novel Electrolysis Titanium) materials for polymer electrolyte water electrolysis (PEWE) have initally been developed in a BFE project (PhD Schuler, 2017-2020). The two layer structures allowed to improve the anode catalyst utilization (IrO2) for conventional IrO2 loadings and are about to be commercialized by licensing the patents to international com-panies. In the present project the two-layer structures are further developed to multi-layer (up to 4 layers) that will also allow to use very low loadings of IrO2. Low IrO2 loadings at the anode is one of the most important general development goals for PEWE.
