A pressure-wave supercharger (PWS) will be developed which suits internal combustion engines fueled with hydrogen. As hydrogen engines need high boost pressures and profit from exhaust gas recirculation, the PWS is a better solution than a turbocharger setup as it can deliver both simultaneously.
