Switching from a high-temperature heating emitter to a low-temperature one has a positive influenceon the heat generation efficiency, especially in case of heat pumps. However, this energy efficiencymeasure is rarely implemented. Looking at the winter electricity gap, it could make a relevant contributionto ensure supply security. The proposed study investigates the energy, resource and cost efficiencypotential of replacing high temperature heat emitters taking into account the energy and powerdemand of the Swiss building stock.
