Abstract

A solar powered pedestrian/bicycle traffic detection/counting system is proposed. The solution leverages novel IR thermopile arrays and embedded CV/AI, thus requiring significantly less energy (and so can be solar powered) and being less expensive than current radar/microbolometer systems.
