Dieses Arbeitspaket hat zum Ziel, Ansätze, Tools und Ergebnisse, die in anderen Arbeitspaketen entwickelt wurden, an konkreten Standorten in Zürich anzuwenden, zu testen, zu validieren und zu verbessern. Die Tatsache, dass die Stadt Zürich die praktische Transformation eines Stadtteils zur Klimaneutralität plant, eröffnet uns die einzigartige Möglichkeit, unsere Erkenntnisse nicht nur zu testen und die Entwicklung im Zeitverlauf zu verfolgen, sondern auch reale Situationen zu erforschen, die sich aus der Komplexität einer Stadt ergeben. Auf dieser Grundlage werden wir Fragestellungen wie beispielsweise die Umwandlungsgeschwindigkeit, Subventionsregelungen für die Umsetzung von Fernwärme- und Fernkältenetze und die Rolle des Industrie-/Gewerbesektors untersuchen. Diese empirische Arbeit wird Einblicke in die Hemmnisse und Erfolgsfaktoren von Transformationsstrategien liefern. Sie wird es auch erlauben, das Potenzial der Anwendung dieser Strategien in anderen Städten einzuordnen.

The work package aims to apply, test validate and improve approaches, tools and results developed in other workpackages to concrete locations in Zurich. With the city of Zurich planning the real transformation of a district towards carbon neutrality, we will have a unique possibility of not only testing and monitoring our findings, but also exploring real situations in the complexity of a built city. Therefore, we will define topics like the speed of transformation, subsidy schemes for the implementation for thermal grids and the role of the industrial/commercial sector. This empirical work will offer insights into the barriers and success factors of strategies to support the transition. It will also allow to understand the opportunities of applying the strategies to other cities.

Ce lot de travail vise à appliquer, tester, valider et améliorer les approches, les outils et les résultats développés dans d’autres lots de travail sur des sites concrets à Zurich. Alors que la ville de Zurich planifie la transformation réelle d’un quartier vers la neutralité carbone, nous aurons une possibilité unique non seulement de tester et de contrôler nos résultats, mais aussi d’étudier des situations réelles dans la complexité d’une ville construite. Par conséquent, nous définirons des sujets tels que la vitesse de transformation, les programmes de subvention pour la mise en œuvre des réseaux thermiques et le rôle du secteur industriel/commercial. Ce travail empirique fournira des informations sur les obstacles et les facteurs de succès des stratégies de soutien à la transition. Il permettra également de comprendre les possibilités d’appliquer ces stratégies à d’autres villes.

Scopo del pacchetto di lavoro è l'applicazione, il test, la convalida e il miglioramento di approcci, strumenti e risultati sviluppati in altri pacchetti di lavoro per ubicazioni fisiche a Zurigo. Il progetto della città di Zurigo della pianificazione della reale trasformazione di un distretto verso la neutralità in termini di emissioni di carbonio ci offre la possibilità unica non solo di testare e monitorare le nostre scoperte, ma anche di esplorare le situazioni reali nella complessità di una città costruita. Definiremo pertanto argomenti quali la velocità di trasformazione, schemi di sovvenzioni per l'implementazione di reti di teleriscaldamento e il ruolo del settore industriale/commerciale. Questo lavoro empirico offre approfondimenti sugli ostacoli e i fattori di successo delle strategie a supporto della transizione. Consentirà inoltre di capire le opportunità di applicazione delle strategie ad altre città.
