Kapazitive Sensorik wird in vielen Bereichen der Technik eingesetzt, wie z.B. bei Touchscreens für Smartphones. Mit dem geplanten Projekt soll die Technik in ein Fussbodenelement integriert werden, um Stürze zu erkennen, eine Raumbeleuchtung zu steuern oder vor Einbrechern zu schützen.
