FutureCom investigates RF measurements for future communication applications. At the technical level METAS contributes to WP1 (Measurements of active devices). METAS designs and produces a novel type of shielded on-wafer probe with small pitch size based on pulled glass capillaries with a metallic wire inside (METAS patent pending). With the coaxial structure going all the way to the tip, parasitic effects will be diminished. In a collaborative effort with other partners in the project, the performance and properties of the probe is evaluated.
