Kurzbeschreibung
(Englisch)

This project takes up the goal of the FDFA* (EDA) namely to promote peacebuilding though transboundary cooperation of academic (Universities) and development oriented partners (NGO) representing different researchers generations in Caucasus North and South region - with focus on Abkhazia and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regions of Georgia, if necessary involving “neutral” academic and NGO partner organizations from Armenia (and Russia - N.E.).

The research approach aims at conflict transformation through joint research across borders and the implementation of small transformative pilot actions in mountain communities (Sustainable Mountain Development). This action research and generation exchange shall enable cooperation among younger researchers and NGO participants across Administrative Boundary Lines (ABL) and thus contribute towards building trust and reciprocal understanding in the scientific communities .Specific fields of cooperation shall be e.g. protected areas and energy efficiency. – (Related 1. to “peace park” initiative and 2. To transboundary Hydropower-Project INGURI)
