Die vorliegende Studie hat den Energieverbrauch und die Möglichkeiten einer rationelleren Energienutzung bei Automaten zum Thema. Automaten und Automation sind allgegenwärtig. Aus volks- und energiewirtschaftlicher Sicht hatte in der Vergangenheit die Automation der industriellen Produktion die grössten Auswirkungen; in der Zukunft dürften auch vermehrt die Automaten im Dienstleistungs- und Transportsektor von Bedeutung sein. In der vorliegenden Studie werden Geräte untersucht, welche dank der Automation existieren und die serienmässig hergestellt und auch "serienmässig" installiert werden.

The subject of this study is the energy consumption of automatic machines and ways in which they can be made more energy-efficient. Automatic machines and automation in general are now in use everywhere. From a point of view of the economy and the energy industry, it was the automation of industrial production which had the greatest impact in the past. In the future automation in the services and transport sectors can be expected to become increasingly significant. This study focuses on machines that owe their existence to automation, are manufactured on a series-production basis, and can be installed by non-specialists.
