Abstract (German)	Hydrocephalus in children and adults is treated by shunts diverting CSF to the peritoneal cavity. The 60-year-old technology has high failure rates. The SmartShunt continuously adjusts flow to the patient's need, allows patient and surgeon to interact and monitors intracranial pressure and flow.
