On September 12th 2019, the National Committee of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (NC-IUNS) will organize a workshop entitled “Filling the gaps in Swiss nutrition research – a stakeholder perspective”. To this end, national (and international) participants from the different stakeholders of nutrition research (agriculture, food industry, life sciences industry, nutritional science, nutritional counselling, consumers, public health) are invited to participate in the tasks of identifying the current scientific and structural gaps in nutrition research and developing measures that can foster the development of a competitive nutrition research in Switzerland. More than sixty participants have already registered for this workshop, which will be moderated by experts representing the stakeholders. This proposal aims to finance the preparation and writing of a comprehensive report of the workshop. This report will be communicated to decision-making bodies (political bodies, FSVO) to promote the measures resulting from the workshop.
