Unemployment remains one of the most serious problems of the new state of Kosovo. It is currently reported at over 40% with unemployment of people below 25 years of age estimated at around 75%, despite many initiatives from national and international organizations. Economic growth is too slow to allow the private sector to absorb all newly entering people on the job market every year.This report is based on a review of the Economy and Employment Domain of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo. The goal of the review was twofold: to review the current portfolio against the impact hypothesis and give recommendations and options for the design of the future programmatic interventions in the domain for the next cooperation strategy.
