Kurzbeschreibung
(Deutsch)
Technology Management Center (TMC) is a component of CMES basic education and skills project. The component has been introduced in the phase 5 of the project to support CMES graduated to extend market of their products, to organize up-skilling training and to capacitate CMES toward achieving sustainability. There is a TMC in each of the 23 units of CMES. It was expected that TMC will not only be a self-sustaining unit but also support CMES with generating revenues. However, the evaluation (conducted during June-July 2015) found that the TMCs are not only incapable of generating revenues for CMES, but also have no direction toward attaining self-sustainability. The report however states that it is very difficult for an NGO social venture to be self-sufficient because it provides some social benefits and services.
