The mid-term review (MTR) was done to assess the results and achievements of M4C project. Also, the review covered its strategic orientation and organizational fitness to deliver the project objectives as per the objectives specified in the project document. accordingly recommendations were provided in the report. The in-depth findings of the MTR mission were critically presented in the report in comparison with the different areas like: effectiveness of the approach, systemic change issue of the char markets in agricultural sectors, mode of collaboration achieved (wider synergies) with other similar project like DFID-CLP, relevance with regards to the char context and with market scenario, and, on efficiency of the strategic interventions that were implemented. Based on the findings, the recommendations were made in two different scales: for the remaining period of phase I and for the next phase II. For Phase II the recommendation largely guided the project to focus more in deepening, diversification and widening approaches.
